The Marla Bouma Memorial Tuition Award

Instructions To The Applicant

Application for a Marla Bouma Memorial Tuition Award and all supporting documents must be completed and received at the CAEYC Tuition Award Committee Office on or before November 11, 2016. All the material submitted by or for you is confidential and should be sent directly to the address indicated on each page.

The following are preliminary requirements for eligibility:

  1. United States citizenship and Colorado residence,
  2. A documented “B” cumulative GPA from each college/university you have attended,
  3. A minimum of (6) six semester hours of prior coursework in Early Childhood related classes,
  4. Undergraduate or graduate, part-time or full-time at a Colorado college or university,
  5. A demonstrated commitment to Early Childhood Education,
  6. A current Colorado AEYC member.

There are no restrictions based on race, creed, color, sex, or marital status, and financial need is not a primary consideration.

Your application is considered complete when we have received:

Applications cannot be considered unless all required materials have been received on or before November 11, 2016. We advise you to check with your references at least one week in advance of the deadline to be sure that your application has been completed. Please choose your references carefully and make sure they have the information needed (i.e., knowledge of awards and honors, interest in and commitment to working with young children) to complete the form.
