Overview

Children’s Champion Award

The Children’s Champion Award was established by Colorado AEYC to recognize a special individual who has dedicated their time, energy and passion toward improving the lives of children in their community. These people have been nominated by their colleagues for outstanding work for young children and their families at the local level.

Edna Oliver/Nancy Swank Award

The Edna Oliver/Nancy Swank Award was established in 1973 to recognize the efforts of two founding members of Colorado AEYC. Edna Oliver said that what we need are not monuments but people who live the lives that make growing up better for children and their families.

In the spirit of this philosophy, the award is presented annually at the CAEYC spring conference to an individual who has given distinguished service to children and their families.

The Marla Bouma Memorial Tuition Award, is for those college students who have completed at least six (6) semester hours of Early Childhood related courses and are attending college on either a full or part-time basis, (graduate students may also apply for this award).
